Switching in is the hard part, so the sync runs both ways. Certivo pulls your QuickBooks invoices back in as invoices, and your Purchases and Bills in as categorised expenses with the GST apportioned, alongside your customers and payment status. Imported invoices with no class behind them can then be backfilled into real Certivo records, as classes, services, products or fees, so your history arrives with your contacts instead of starting at zero.

Cash out is not the same as cost. Loan principal and money you draw out of the business both leave your bank without being expenses: one swapped cash for less debt, the other was never a cost of trading. Money Out counts the full cash figure so your runway is honest, and breaks out which parts are a cost so your P&L is too. A spreadsheet burn-rate number blends the two and gets one of them wrong.

Setting a dozen category budgets by hand from nothing is work nobody does, so Certivo drafts the first one from what you have already spent. Every line shows its evidence: the method, how many months it read, and how much it trusts them. A category with no history renders as a dash saying "no history", never as a confident zero. Build from your historical medians, from your revenue forecast, or from a figure you choose and want allocated.

The figures come from arithmetic on your own numbers, not from a model, and contractual lines never move: a scenario that quietly trims your loan payment is not a scenario.
